Hello, neighbors and friends!  Thanks for joining the adventures of our little family of four as chronicled at This Grand Life.  N and I are both Grand Rapids transplants, but our roots are growing deep on the north end.   And now we’ve got kiddos: born and bread Michiganders!

As a family, we’re job-sharers and pre-schoolers.  We’re learners, believers and  readers; Michigan Radio listeners; tv-watchers; art-dabblers; home design amateurs.  We’re food preparers and eaters (and this summer, maybe even food growers).  We’re Rapid riders, urban hikers and hybrid drivers.

As This Grand Life is a full and frugal life, posts may be sporadic and lacking in original photos, but I hope to keep an authentic account of our life in Grand Rapids.
